Woman Gets Increasingly Confused After Weird Texts From Airbnb Guest

While this was also often true of hotels, you never really know what kind of Airbnb you're going to end up in until you get there.

Sure, it's true that much like hotels, Airbnb listings tend to have a lot of reviews. But even assuming they're all genuine, there's no guarantee that we're going to like what the majority of our fellow users do.

After all, it's possible for Airbnbs that some would describe as "nightmares" to gain five-star ratings and it's sometimes hard to get a listing's bizarre location or policies across in a review.

But of course, there's a flip side to that coin. Sometimes it's not the Airbnb host who boggles our minds, but rather the guest.

And one recent stay simply left one woman wondering whether her guest was OK.

On January 31, a woman named Michelle B shared the texts she kept receiving from an apparently flustered Airbnb guest.

As we'll see in the full video, the first of these texts asked if the guest was allowed to use the fridge because she couldn't get past the lock.

But this didn't make sense to Michelle, as she responded, "There is no lock on it. Perhaps you are trying to open it from the wrong side?"

And while she showed in a follow-up video that the woman was likely confused because the fridge didn't have handles, Michelle still thought it was strange that she wouldn't try both sides before contacting her.

This wouldn't necessarily be that noteworthy on its own, but it was the first of a few puzzlers.

Soon after, Michelle received a message informing her that the gas on her oven isn't working because it appears to turn off for a couple of seconds after the guest tried to use it.

This led Michelle to ask, "What do you mean by gas?" After all, her oven is electric.

What Michelle eventually figured out was that the woman's problem came from the fact that she was setting the oven too low to generate much heat. But that only became apparent once she sent over this photo.

But for Michelle, the crowning moment seemed to come when the guest ordered food and couldn't find it.

If you can't find it in this picture, don't worry. You're apparently not alone.

The guest told Michelle that the delivery driver left it on the porch, but she wondered if it had been sent to Michelle's current location instead.

And as we can see here, once Michelle confirmed that didn't happen, it didn't take her long to spot the delivery herself on the property's security camera.

The footage also showed her just how thorough her guest's search was. I guess she assumed the driver would have left it on a very specific part of the porch despite the footprints suggesting otherwise?

I guess I'm now also wondering if she's OK.
