Hollywood has its favorites when it comes to actors anbd actresses on the big and small screen. More often than not, it feels like the same names keep popping up over and over again.

That's not to say that these celebs are undeserving, but rather it's a statement to the wealth of talent that lies just outside the limelight. To see what I mean, have a look at these 15 underrated celebrities who deserve more attention.

Florence Pugh

Florence first caught my eye back in 2016 after she appeared in the highly underrated film, Lady Macbeth. Since then, she's gone on to star in such films as Little Women and Black Widow and seems poised to take over the Marvel mantle from Scarlet Johansson.

Matthew Lillard

Everybody always associates Matthew with Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. To all those who doubt him, you really have to see his performance in Good Girls in order to really get a taste of what he's capable of bringing to the screen.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Thanks to her groundbreaking role in The Queen's Gambit, Anya is well on her way to becoming a household name. For all of my horror buffs out there, if you haven't seen her terrifying performance in The Witch, you're seriously missing out.

Brenton Thwaites

I understand that superhero dramas aren't for everyone, but Titans is so much more than masked vigilantes and crime-fighting. Beneath the surface beats the heart of a true coming-of-age tale, emboldened by the stellar performance of its male lead.

Alexa Demie

I suppose I could've gone and included 90% of the cast of Euphoria in this list. But of all the many capable and promising young stars the series' boasts, Alexa is easily one of the most exciting to watch on screen.

Alan Ritchson

I don't know if there's a human alive who has yet to see Amazon Prime's hit new series, Reacher, but if you're one of the few then you seriously need to get your priorities in order. Alan Ritchson is a straight-up beast seems destined to become Hollywood's next action hero.

Kristen Stewart

I can feel the leers and hear the catcalls booming down from the rafters. Let me be the first to say that it's time to sheath your sword when it comes to Kristen Stewart. If you're still judging this Oscar-nominated actress based on Twilight, it's time for you to grow up.

Timothée Chalamet

There is nothing on this earth that Timothée Chalamet cannot do. His visceral performance in Beautiful Boy is enough to bring even the most hard-hearted stoic to tears. Mark my words, this young man has Oscar gold in his future.

Robert Pattinson

Just like his co-star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson has been working tirelessly to shed himself of all the Twilight hate. Now that Matt Reeve's The Batman is finally making its long-awaited theatrical debut, Robert appears ready to shift some people's perspectives.

Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum was slut-shamed out of receiving a single Emmy nomination for all the time she spent playing Fiona Gallagher on Shameless. She's an immensely talented actress with incredible range, the best of which we've only just begun to see.

Andrew Garfield

Speaking of Oscar gold, have you seen Tick, Tick, Boom! yet?! Normally, I'm not one for musicals but Andrew's portrayal of playwright Jonathan Larson is just too powerful to ignore. He has my vote for "Best Actor" beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Tom Holland

Don't underestimate Tom Holland. Sure, he might be best-known for playing Spider-Man in the MCU, but the scope and range of his talents exceed far beyond that. Tom was breathtaking in The Devil All the Time, and I smell his first Oscar nomination once the Fred Astaire biopic hits theaters.

Cillian Murphy

I have just two words for those who question Cillian Murphy's acting prowess — Peaky Blinders. The Irish-born actor is an absolute force to be reckoned with portraying the malevolent Tommy Shelby in the BBC's period piece drama.

Zendaya

I recently sat down to watch the first season of Euphoria and I can now proudly say that I am a believer when it comes to Zendaya. Her riveting portrayal of the drug-addicted Rue Bennett is easily the best television performance of this decade.

Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan in 'Lady Bird'.

Saoirse Ronan is only 27-years-old and she's already been nominated for four Oscars, the first of which came when she was only 14! It's not a matter of if this young woman wins an Academy Award, it's just a matter of when.
