Long before the great Super Bowl Halftime show of 2022 that included Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem, the "Lose Yourself" rapper has been a household name and an icon by every definition. But his halftime performance confirmed it for any of the naysayers because since then, he has become the most gold and platinum-certified singles artist in music history.

As most of us are, there's a fairly good chance you're still buzzing from the millennial-friendly Super Bowl Halftime show of 2022.

The nostalgic performance had us all listening to Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar on repeat for the remainder of the month — reliving our youth.

And with that, Eminem's streams have skyrocketed, landing him the major career accolade of most gold and platinum-certified singles artist in music history.

The Recording Industry Association of America recently announced 73.5-million new Gold & Platinum Program certifications for the "Lose Yourself" rapper.

Combined with the 49-year-old's already existing six RIAA Diamond certifications, Eminem has secured his position as one of the most accomplished artists of all time.

He currently has a career total of 227.5-million RIAA awards. Specifically, 166-million single certifications and 61.5-million album certifications.

Not only that but the "Without Me" rapper is now one of seven artists to historically achieve three or more diamond certifications.

He's in very good company, with artists including The Beatles, Shania Twain, and Whitney Houston.

RIAA Chairman and CEO, Mitch Glazie, released a statement congratulating Eminem on his latest achievement.

He praised the rapper for his "unflinching commitment" to his art.

“These awards recognize Eminem’s unflinching commitment to his craft and the enduring connection he has forged with fans over the last 20 years,” the statement says.

"With today’s announcement, Eminem becomes the top certified singles artist in our program’s history and adds a rare third Diamond Album to his many creative accomplishments," Glazie continued.

Interscope Records and Aftermath Records extended their congratulations to the rapper and his entire team for their massive and hard-earned win.
