Now that Daniel Craig is getting ready to pass the torch — er, martini — to another James Bond, speculation has been at an all-time high. While everyone thinks they know who the best option is, I'm here to say the only option should be Idris Elba.
However, with his future still up in the air, Jamie Dornan is enjoying being considered, even if it's just by the fans.
Ever since his first film back in 2006 (Casino Royale, of course) fans and critics alike enjoyed Daniel's fresh take on the beloved agent.
Since the release of his final film, No Time to Die, last year, fans have been wondering who will take over the bowtie.
However, one actor who is enjoying the buzz is 50 Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan.
Speaking with Esquire the Irish actor got candid about the pressure that comes along with being cast in legacy franchise films such as James Bond.
"Prejudgment is such a [explective] disease. It’s a disease in all our culture. In my line of work, sure. But in general, people prejudge people based on [explective] anything really, and it’s very sad,” he said.
"It was vile what was written. It was actually disturbing when you see the [explective] venomous anger that people have over casting decisions."
I mean, where's the lie though? He's totally right about all the critics!
"It’s fun and it’s a cool thing to be in the mix for that sort of thing. I do think it’s very transparent in terms of if you look at that list, there’s not one person on that list who doesn’t have some content at the moment that’s doing well."
I think he'd make a great 007, don't you think?
