Look, if we've learned anything in the past few months, it's that HM Queen Elizabeth II remains one of the funniest people in the world. While I always knew Her Majesty was cheeky, I didn't realize just how funny she was until her two cake-cutting videos went viral over the past 12 months.

Do you realize how truly, deeply funny you have to be to make cutting a cake go viral?

Now, it's been revealed in a new interview with BBC4's "Reunion" radio show that HM is more humorous than we ever could have imagined.

As it turns out, she's also a big fan of a surprise reveal, which is exactly what she gave her family back in 2012.

The 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony was a moment that will forever go down in history for fans of the monarchy, and fans of the famous "James Bond" film franchise.

Every time I watch the Olympic opening ceremonies now, it's always great, but it's never The Queen and James Bond, great.

You know what I mean?

Well, as it turns out, part of the magic behind the moment was the HM did not want her family to know she was partaking in the skit.

"Reunion" spoke with members of the production team who revealed this formerly top-secret information.

"The queen never told her family she was doing it. That was one of the stipulations, that she agreed to be part of it," production stage manager Sam Hunter told the radio show.

"So, if you actually see when she comes and she takes her seat, you can see her family go, ‘Ah, nice one.'"

Executive-producer Stephen Daldry took it a step further and said production also had to keep the secret from a few members of the British Government.

"What was hard was that you didn’t really want to say much to the Cabinet because you didn’t know how secure they were," he explained.

That makes me love the skit that much more!
