Fertility struggles are something that millions and millions of women have dealt with. Thankfully, we're living in a time where many women feel much more open to discussing these challenges in hopes of reminding other women they're not alone.

In the most recent episode of the Kardashian family's new reality series, eldest sister Kourtney recently opened up about her struggles with IVF.

Even for a reality star who has shared every major moment of their life for well over a decade, opening up about the sensitive topic of fertility can be incredibly difficult.

Women have been stigmatized for far too many years, and I for one am just so glad we're finally having the open and honest convos we need.

During the most recent episode of the new Hulu show "Kardashians" eldest sister Kourtney, 43, sat down with her mom Kris to discuss how her IVF journey had been going.

As fans may know, Kourtney is already mom to kids Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with her ex Scott Disick.

Kourtney's beau Travis Barker is dad to son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16. He also shares stepdaughter Atiana, 22, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

"Travis and I want to have a baby and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF and it hasn't been the most amazing experience," Kourtney explained on the show, as per People after calling the experience "awful."

Speaking to her mom, Kourtney continued: "Every single person on social media is always like, 'Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's pregnant, Kourtney's gained so much weight.'"

"I'm like, it's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they're actually going through."

"The medication that they've been giving me, they put me into menopause," the 43-year-old added.

"Based off of what? A drug?" Kris asked. "Yes," she replied. "The medication basically put me into depression."

In a testimonial, Kourtney further explained what her IVF journey has been like.

"I think because I'm so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it's just having the complete opposite reaction and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us."

"I feel like I've never seen you happier so the depression thing surprises me," Kris said to her daughter, who replied: "And I have everything in the world to be happy about."

"I just feel a little bit off. I'm super moody and hormonal. Like, I'm a lunatic half the time."

Kris ended the convo on a positive note, saying that she believes in a year's time the couple will welcome a baby together.

"God willing," Kourtney replied.

We're wishing the best for these two love birds!
