Okay, I can't be the only person who didn't know that Hollywood's funniest couple is no longer together. You didn't know either, right? Well apparently we've all been in the dark for a long time because this duo has been split since 2017. 2017!!!

In a new interview, Rhea Perlman got candid about her split from Danny DeVito and how she sometimes wishes the pair never went their separate ways in the first place.

If you're not familiar with Rhea Perlman and Danny Devito's love story, it was really one for the books.

The pair met back in 1971 when Rhea saw a young Danny performing in the stage production of The Shrinking Bride. After just two weeks of dating, the love birds moved in together.

After tying the knot in January 1982, the pair went on to have three children together.

Fans were shocked when they first announced their split in October 2012 after 30 years of marriage and over 40 years together. The couple reconciled a year later before once again announcing their split in 2017.

Speaking in a rare, candid interview with "People" magazine Rhea explained the pair never officially divorced.

"We're still separated, but we see each other often, and we're still a family," the actress insisted. "We can do things together, we can do things separately."

She doesn't seem to regret a thing about their time together.

"I'm really, really glad that Danny and I were able to navigate some rough days to be able to have this different kind of relationship," she said.

She recognizes how one-of-a-kind their marriage was.

"I think it's pretty rare, but we agree on so many things that it makes sense."

Ultimately, the 74-year-old thinks "it's probably worked out for the best" with Danny.

She even openly admits that there are days where she wishes they were still married.

"Sometimes I wish we were still together because those were the glory days, but these are other kinds of glory days."

What a beautiful outlook to have in the wake of such a long-term marriage.

In the end, it seems she knows this was all for the best, and is grateful for the time they had.

As hard as breakups are, it seems like these have found themselves in the best possible outcome for themselves and their children.
