We all have heard of "Bridezillas." Am I right? A woman usually earns this nasty nickname after she starts throwing outrageous demands at her wedding party. But have you ever stumbled upon a "Pregzilla"? No?
Well, I'm about to tell you about one, ha, ha. A woman recently shared online that she got invited to an unusual baby shower, and I couldn't resist but to tell you all the gory details.
I guess that's alright. However, one woman recently posted online that she received an invite to quite an unusual baby shower. You see, the invitation mentioned a three-day affair. Yes, you heard that right.
She was expected to travel to another city. Then there would be a meal on the first night, some "activities" on day two, followed by another meal at another restaurant. There was also brunch on the third morning and two nights in a pricey hotel.
Plus, the invitation mentioned various themes the attendees had to dress for, such as 'pink night.' OMG, I definitely never heard of a baby shower like this one, ha, ha. How about you?
Can you blame this woman? I would have done the same thing. I don't know about you, but I don't have time for that, nor do I want to spend my own money, either.
Most of them were quite shocked to hear about all these outrageous demands. Who in their right mind expects their guests to go through all that?
"Goodness, I'm just wondering how the 'mama' has the energy! (Says the pregnant person currently [laying] on the sofa)."
Ha, ha, I hear this lady loud and clear. I guess this "pregzilla" thinks she can do it all.
"That's insane! And assuming that you would have had to pay for all the food and activities on top of everything else? Why do people do this to their friends?"
I don't know about you but that's not a friend to me.
So I'm not surprised that this woman declined the invitation. In fact, she said, "I won't be attending. The 'Mama', as she calls herself on the invites, didn't even invite me to her daytime wedding, just the evening [reception], so I'm clearly not that good a friend!"
This sounds like she dodged a bullet, no?
Would you have attended this type of baby shower? Or would you do what this lady did and just decline the invitation? I'm okay with people throwing baby showers, but you need to draw the line somewhere. This party is not my kind of ordeal, that's for sure.
