Actress and mother Valerie Bertinelli has been honest with fans over the past few months about her ongoing struggles. First, it was the death of her ex-husband and father of her son, Eddie Van Halen. Then, less than a year later, the Hot in Cleveland star announced she was splitting from her longtime love, Tom Vitale.

Now, the actress is getting candid on her social media about how she has been doing lately.

As fans know, the Food Network star was previously married to the late Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007.

Despite their divorce, the pair stayed close friends and maintained a family unit for their son Wolfgang, who's now 31-years-old.

The rock n' roll legend passed away in October 2020 at age 65 after a battle with lung cancer.

In the months following Eddie's death, Valerie was very open about her grieving process.

During an Instagram Live last year, she told therapist Angie Johnsey how difficult it's been to lose her ex-husband.

"You never like this new normal but that’s what it is. It’s about finding a way to survive this new normal… which many people are doing," she said at the time.

"This whole year unfortunately has been about death and grieving and loss… Too many people have lost too many things."

In November of 2021, People magazine reported the 62-year-old actress cited "irreconcilable differences" between her and her husband Tom Vitale as the reason for their separation.

In the months that followed, Valerie has been candid with fans about her struggle with mental illness as well as her body image issues.

On Monday, ET confirmed that Valerie and Tom would move forward with their divorce proceedings after Valerie officially filed after nearly 7 months of separation.

On that same day, the "One Day at a Time" alum opened up to fans on TikTok after one commented that she looks "distressed and sad."

"I’m just having a bad day," Valerie admitted. "But you know what, sometimes we have bad days and then we get over them and then there’s a good day."

"So I’m looking forward to the good day. [Expletive] this bad day," she added.

Also posted on Valerie's TikTok at the same time were the lyrics of Taylor Swift’s breakup song, “Tolerate It,” with a caption that read “Divorce sucks.”

We're rooting for you, Valerie!
