In case you missed it, Britney Spears, 40, and Sam Asghari, 28, tied the knot last week in California. They said "I do" in front of 60 guests, which included Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Drew Barrymore.

But there was one question on everyone's minds: did they sign a prenup? This would make the most sense to do, considering Britney is worth over $60 million.

The "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer is also now in control of her finances after her conservatorship was dissolved.

So it would make sense that she and her team would want to protect this, despite Asghari being transparent about not touching Britney's money.

The fitness trainer, who makes significantly less than his wife, made these comments in an interview with 'GQ' last year.

“I'm not a house husband,” he said, referring to critics who believe that he lives off the pop star's fortune.

As an immigrant from Iran, he knows the importance of being careful with money.

“I don't want to spend $200 on something that I can buy for $60,” he said. “I am careful with money because I do want to build a future for my children."

"If you came to this country, you came with a purpose. You don't come here to goof around," he continued.

When asked how they manage finances that are extremely different, Sam said that they trade off on paying for things, like dinner.

"We don't have a joint account. I live off of lettuce and rice and coffee."

"That comes out to like $16 a day so I can take care of that myself,” he said.

He continued by talking about their travel life.

“We do travel a lot and I am dating a girl that's very expensive, she has an expensive taste but I do try to incorporate my lifestyle to her as well."

If it were up to him, Sam said that they would cut down on traveling.

In his ideal world, they would stay at cheaper hotels, and live off $60 per day.

I can't imagine that, really.

“Because that's what I can afford, yeah.” When it came to Britney's engagement ring, he took a similar approach.

"I figured with her taste, she wouldn't want something super big and super celebrity," he explained.

"Celebrities get that million-dollar ring. And usually, it's free because it's for promotion, but I want it to represent something," he added to the publication.

"I want it to come from my heart and I want it to go to someone that wasn't a big jeweler," he continued.

"It was a big company but it was a company that was willing to do it the way that I wanted it."

Needless to say, fans were OVERJOYED that they were getting married, especially after her recent rollercoaster life events.

But despite these comments, Sam is aware that he makes significantly less than his wife.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone would guess that he thought otherwise, because...I mean, it's Britney.

Ahead of their wedding, he even joked about getting a prenup to protect his finances. "Of course we are getting an iron-clad prenup."

But in true Sam humor, he made it seem like this was to protect his assets instead of hers.

"To protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day," he joked on Instagram.

Jokes aside, it ended up being Britney who protected her finances — as any smart, successful woman should.

It was TMZ who confirmed this. According to reports, the prenup will ensure that the money that Spears earned up until the date of their marriage will be protected.

This would be in case she and Asghari ever split, which obviously, we hope they don't.

We are really hoping that these two go the distance and Britney Spears gets her happily ever after, which she really, really deserves.

It's worth noting that Britney also signed a prenup when she married Kevin Federline.

We love that Britney is calling the shots in all areas of her life now! She can go forward in her new marriage knowing her finances are safe and protected.
