I often ask myself what can't Jennifer Aniston do? She can be a bombshell for nearly 4 decades straight. She can rock several different but equally as trendy hairstyles. She can be a role model for single, childless women everywhere and now, we know she can create controversy by talking about her own life experiences.

I know, right? Where does her magic end?!

When it comes to problematic celebrities, I would never put Jennifer Aniston in that category. That's a place reserved for reality TV stars and country musicians.

To be fair, I wouldn't put anyone from Friends into that category — they're all national treasures as far as I'm concerned.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say Jennifer Aniston is one of the most beloved celebrities of our time.

She has had the most successful career out of all her Friends costars while remaining a beacon for strong, single women everywhere.

Now, our girl Jen has found herself in a bit of hot water after one of her interview soundbites has gone viral.

Earlier this week, Jennifer and fellow actor Sebastian Stan sat down to chat about the modern-day idea of fame for Variety's "Actors on Actors" Youtube series.

While discussing Sebastian's role as Tommy Lee in the controversial mini series "Pam and Tommy" Jen said that it was around this time in pop culture that this idea of being famous just for being famous began.

She said it happed, "right at the time when the internet really shaped a new culture about people becoming famous."

"This thing of people becoming famous for basically doing nothing. I mean — Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky, all those."

“I feel so lucky that we got a little taste of the industry before it became what it is today," the Friends alum explained.

What is the "industry today" by Jen's terms, you ask? Well, she meant streaming services, of course.

"... You’re famous from TikTok, you're famous from YouTube, you're famous from Instagram... It’s almost, like, it’s diluting the actor’s job," the 53-year-old added.

As you can imagine, this spicy take did not go over well on social media.

Users were quick to point out that Jen's parents, John Aniston and Nancy Dow, were both prominent Hollywood actors. This connection to the industry surely benefitted the actress at a time when it was very hard to gain any attention because there was no social media.

While I think we all understand what Jennifer is saying, there's no doubt that the use of social media means everyone gets a least a small chance at making their dreams come true.

Plus, ignoring the fact that you're a nepotism actor is not the best look.

You can do betterm Jen!
