Another biopic film is capturing people's attention: Blonde, which stars Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe and Norma Jean.

Netflix just released its first teaser of the fictionalized film, which is based on the 2000 novel by Joyce Carol Oates, and the reactions are pouring in. Many are praising the film for its perfect casting of Ana as the blonde bombshell.

De Armas told 'Netflix Queue' that writer/director Andrew Dominik had a clear vision of the film from the start.

According to an official synopsis, the film "boldly reimagines the life of Marilyn Monroe, exploring the split between her public and private selves."

"He wanted the world to experience what it actually felt like to not only be Marilyn, but also Norma Jeane," De Armas said.

"I found that to be the most daring, unapologetic and feminist take on her story that I had ever seen."

In addition to de Armas, the cast includes some famous names, such as Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Caspar Phillipson.

Playing the role of the iconic Marilyn was not something that Ana took lightly.

Aesthetically, she spent two to three hours getting her hair and makeup done for the film.

She also did lots of research to give the role justice.

"We worked on this film for hours, every single day for almost a year. I read Joyce's novel, studied hundreds of photographs, videos, audio recordings, films — anything I could get my hands on," Ana told Netflix Queue.

"Every scene is inspired by an existing photograph," she added.

"We'd pore over every detail in the photo and debate what was happening in it. The first question was always, 'What was Norma Jeane feeling here?' We wanted to tell the human side of her story."

All of this hard work is already paying off, as fans are salivating over Netflix's teaser trailer.

In it, a crying de Armas says, "Please come. Don't abandon me," while sitting in front of a mirror in her dressing room.

The next clip recreates her iconic breezy white dress moment as cameras flash.

The original moment happened over a New York City subway grate. As "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" plays, the teaser trailer flashes between the realities of Marilyn's life: loving fame and then hating it the next.

"She's almost here. She's coming," the makeup artist next to Ana says.

After her makeup is applied, we realize who it is that Norma Jean didn't want to abandon her. It's her — Marilyn — as she transforms into a radiant star who smiles and laughs in the mirror.

After getting chills from the teaser trailer, fans raced to share their thoughts online.

The most prominent of comments was how much Ana resembles the iconic star. "Ana de armas as marilyn monroe is actually incredible casting, wow," one fan tweeted.

They believe that it's Ana's time to shine.

While she dazzled in Knives Out and Deep Water, this is the role that fits her like a glove. "Looks good, can't wait. Time for Ana de Armas to shine," an excited fan tweeted.

There's even some Oscar buzz already.

"Coming for that Oscar I fear," one fan wrote. With Andrew directing, a lot of fans are sure that will happen.

The film has been given an NC-17 rating, the highest rating in the Motion Picture Association film rating system, so you know that it will be jaw-dropping!
