Kit Harington To Return In 'Game Of Thrones' Jon Snow Sequel Series

After more than three years since we last received word from the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, it's now been confirmed that breakout star Kit Harington is poised to return to the small screen in a Jon Snow sequel series.

It would appear that Jon's watch is far from ended, as the new sequel series promises to be the potential last word in "A Song of Ice & Fire."

It wasn't just the fans, either. Series stars Peter Dinklage and Emelia Clarke have both made their feelings on the show's lackluster ending known on multiple occasions.

Multiple outlets have attempted to reach out to Harington for comment, but as of now, he remains as silent as The Stranger. I guess you could say — he knows nothing.

Fans are led to discover that Jon is the trueborn son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. For those who know their Thrones history, that makes Jon heir to the Iron Throne.

House of the Dragon premieres this August and is set to tell the tale of the Targaryen civil war, more commonly known as "The Dance of the Dragons."

Seven series for the Seven Kingdoms; a mere coincidence? I think not. The revered author has also revealed that fans can expect to see a mix of animation as well as live-action.

There's The Sea Snake, 10,000 Ships, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms or The Hedge Knight, and finally — The Golden Empire.

"What I have seen, I have loved," the author exclaimed. Martin is also quick to point out that while it's likely that not all will see the light of day — he's hopeful that fans will get at least two new prequels.

"I made a lot of progress on 'Winds' in 2020, and less in 2021… but 'less' is not 'none,'" he stated. For those who are still counting, it's been more than 10 years since George released the fifth novel of his "ASOIAF" series.

"And will remain so until the story is told… I am still working on 'Winds of Winter'."

Until that time comes, at least we'll have plenty of exciting prequel series to keep us busy!
