Whenever we have problems in life, we can always count on a few people to have our backs. Our friends and our family are always there for us, no matter what the situation is. When we have kids, especially young ones, we hope that they would be on our side no matter what goes down—even if we get into a scuffle or a fight with another person.

Recently, a new TikTok trend has parents calling on their kids to show their loyalty.

In the same way that parents are always ready to back up their kids, now it's time for kids to step up and show their own loyalty.

The trend has people asking their kids to "get their shoes on" and go.

Essentially, parents are saying that they have a problem with a mom/dad who wants to fight them, and that parent has a kid around the same age who may jump in. So, they need backup.

While, for the most part, people have been asking their children, others have also asked their younger siblings.

The whole test is to see how they will respond knowing they may need to "back them up" in a fight.

The results have been surprising.

Some people have had kids and siblings who jump up, grab their shoes, and are ready to go. Some of them even begin cracking their knuckles and punching the air, anticipating a brawl. That's some sheer loyalty.

Some kids tie their hair up, ready to go.

Other TikTok users show their kids getting ready, tying their hair up, and putting on their shoes with no questions asked. Many parents are praising their kids for having their back, even without the backstory.

Some kids had hilarious responses.

One TikTok user filmed her daughter for the trend, in which she responded that she "didn't know how to fight yet" and seemed a bit lost at how to really fight a little girl—despite, her mom added, being nearly suspended in kindergarten for punching a girl in the face.

One mom said her daughter went and even got a stick.

Another TikTok mom said her daughter is from "NYC" and would jump in no questions asked. In the video, her daughter got down from her bunk bed and in all seriousness, went to grab a stick, ready to go outside.

Many people found the prank hilarious.

Many people online loved the idea that kids would jump in and back up their parents no matter what happens. TikTok users commented saying how funny the kid's reactions were, especially when they still grabbed their shoes, super confused.

However, some people were not a fan of the prank.

Some TikTok users left comments on videos saying that parents are teaching their children that violence is okay and that fighting is justified—even at a young age. Many felt like it was seeing a bad example for young kids.

Some parents explained that they spoke to their kids after the prank.

"I had a long conversation with them afterward to let her know that I would never put her in a situation like that but it’s good to know where her head is," said one TikTok mom.

Overall, no children seemed to be "harmed" in his prank trend.

While some people disagreed with the prank, it seems that no kids actually got into a fight or were hurt in this prank trend, and we can't help but enjoy the kid's reactions.
