Veteran British Actor David Warner Dead At 80

Fans are mourning the loss of acclaimed British actor David Warner, who has passed away after an 18-month-long health battle, as reported by The Guardian.

The Hollywood veteran has been a notable face on both screen and stage since the 1960s and continued to dazzle fans for over 5 decades in films like The Omen, Trone, and Titanic.

David was 80.

Fans of both the stage and the screen got to know David Warner, who starred in films like "The Omen" and "Tron" before taking to the role of Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Many people may also recognize David from his role as the malicious enforcer Spicer Lovejoy in the 1997 James Cameron film, Titanic.

In a statement to the BBC, the actor's family said: "Over the past 18 months he approached his diagnosis with a characteristic grace and dignity …"

"He will be missed hugely by us, his family and friends, and remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of extraordinary work has touched the lives of so many over the years."

"We are heartbroken," the statement concluded.

Fans have taken to social media to remember the iconic actor, whose films will continue on his legacy and introduce him to an entirely new generation of fans.
