The film will star Brendan as a "reclusive English teacher suffering from severe obesity who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption" alongside Stranger Things star Sadie Sink.

A24 has revealed the first look at Brendan's dramatic transformation into the role, and fans are stunned.

"It’s gonna be like something you haven’t seen before," Brendan said about the part, and it definitely rings true.

"That’s really all I can tell you," he said about the film. "The wardrobe and costume was extensive, seamless, cumbersome. This is certainly far removed from anything I’ve ever done."

Brendan added, "I do know it’s going to make a lasting impression," and fans reactions to the first look have already proved him right.

"I literally cannot wait to see this!!!" one fan on Instagram shared. "It's Brenaissance time!"
