It's hard to believe it's only been two months since the controversial Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp defamation trial concluded. At the time, it was the biggest news story with everyone weighing in on the pair's mutual violence allegations.

Now, in the aftermath of the trial, and of the controversial previously sealed Depp documents which feature alarming texts exchanged between the Sherlock Gnomes actor and alleged sexual abuser Marilyn Manson, the trial is seemingly being used as inspiration for an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU.

Fan favorite crime series "Law & Order: SVU" is seemingly tackling one of the most talked about trials in modern history in their upcoming season.

The defamation trial between actors and ex-spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard consumed fans and media outlets alike for 6 weeks before the verdict was reached on June 1st.

Despite the trial wrapping up two months ago, the exes have been in the news again after Johnny Depp fans raised thousands of dollars to see previously sealed documents that ended up revealing unflattering evidence against the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star.

Now, it seems "Law & Order: SVU" is giving their take on the trial for their upcoming 24th season.

As fans know, since the show's first season in 1999, the writers have always kept SVU's approach very realistic by taking many headline stories and turning them into plot points.

In new photos taken from the "SVU" set in New York earlier this month, Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is exiting a courthouse alongside a young celebrity, played by Julia Goldani Telles.

The pair were photographed walking hand in hand surrounded by fans holding signs in support of either "Kelsey" (presumably Julia's character) or "Austin" (presumably Kelsey's ex and trial opponent) as Julia and Detective Benson look on somberly.

The photos share an eerie resemblance to the real-life photos of Amber Heard leaving the courthouse in Fairfax, Virginia.

As fans of the show know, both Mariska and her character are vocal supporters of sexual violence victims and advocate for them in a world, and court system, that are not made to protect survivors.
