The world lost a bright light on Monday after it was announced that Olivia Newton-John had passed away. The Grease star was 73 at the time of her death.

Not only did she leave behind uber-successful music and acting legacy, but the Xanadu star also left behind countless friends and costars who loved and adored her just as much as her fans did.

Now, Olivia's Grease costar Stockard Channing is paying tribute to our Sandra Dee.

There is no denying that Olivia Newton-John was a legend and icon in her own right.

The blonde bombshell was a fixture in pop culture for decades. What would '80s workout culture be without songs like "Physical" to blast while getting your sweat on?

It was announced on Monday that the British-born and Australian-raised actress had passed away at age 73.

"Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends," a post shared by her husband read. "We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time."

Tributes soon came flooding in for Olivia, including extremely sentimental ones from her "Grease" costars. I think it's safe to say John Travolta's post brought tears to many fans' eyes.

"My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better," he wrote on Instagram shortly after it was announced his Grease co-star had passed away.

"Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!"

If that wasn't sentimental enough, fellow Grease costar Stockard Channing is also paying homage to her on-screen counterpart.

In a statement to "People, Stockard, 78, spoke highly of her friend and costar.

"I don't know if I've known a lovelier human being. Olivia was the essence of summer – her sunniness, her warmth and her grace are what always come to mind when I think of her."

She concluded: "I will miss her enormously."

Our thoughts are with all of Olivia's loved ones during this difficult time.
