If you're wondering how to get a VIP guest at your next event, try giving the Royals an invite. As we've seen on social media recently, it's not uncommon for engaged couples to extend their extra invitations to celebrities or public figures in a lighthearted effort to get their attention.

However, I've never heard of a young royal getting a birthday invite, but it might just be the latest elementary school trend!

Growing up, handing out birthday party invitations was a VERY big deal.

The stress of making sure you didn't forget anyone while ensuring your schoolyard nemesis didn't learn they weren't invited was enough to stress any kid out.

Oh, childhood — wasn't it the best?!

Do you know what else would have stressed me out back in the day? Extending a birthday invite to A PRINCE!

However, that is just what one six-year-old girl did in a heartwarming story that's going viral because of how dang cute it is.

As reported by "Vanity Fair" a young girl invited Prince William and Kate Middleton's eldest son, Prince George, to her 6th birthday party.

While the heir was unable to attend the event, the young girl did get a sweet reply from a staff member of the Royal family.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked me to thank you for your letter, in which you invite Prince George to your 6th Birthday party," the letter began.

"I am sorry that it took so long to reply. Their Royal Highnesses were extremely grateful for your kind invitation."

"Having given careful consideration to the possibilities, however, I very much regret that Their Royal Highnesses reluctantly feel they have to decline. Nevertheless, I hope that you enjoyed your birthday."

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were immensely touched that you should take the trouble to write as you did to their son, Prince George."

"It really was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses have asked me to send you their warmest thanks and best wishes," the letter concluded.

While it's totally understandable why HRH Prince George couldn't attend the party, the letter was such a sweet reply that I'm sure this young girl will cherish forever!
