On Thursday night, it was announced that actress Anne Heche was "not expected to survive" after her catastrophic car accident a week ago.

This news came just hours after it was reported that Anne had drugs in her system at the time. The crash, which caused Anne severe burns and brain damage, has left her in a coma since Friday.

On Thursday night, it was announced that Anne Heche was on life support and not expected to survive.

It was also reported on Thursday that the "Donnie Brasco" actress had drugs in her system at the time of the accident.

LAPD sources told TMZ that Anne had her blood tested after she was admitted to the hospital. In addition to cocaine, they also found fentanyl.

A rep for Anne made the emotional announcement on Thursday night.

"Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive," the statement read.

"It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable."

"We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne's recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital," the statement continued.

"Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit," the statement continued.

"More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life's work — especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love."

"She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light."

Anne leaves behind two sons — Atlas Heche Tupper, 13, and Homer Laffoon, 20.
