'Octomom' Nadya Suleman Shares Rare Photo Of Her Teens On Their 1st Day Of 8th Grade

If you can believe it, it's already been 13 years since Nadya Suleman (who has also gone by Natalie Suleman in the past) gave birth to her octuplets! As you may recall, Nadya was quickly dubbed "Octomom" by the media.

The year was 2009 and the world was obsessed with parents of multiples — Jon & Kate Plus 8, anyone? Enter Nadya and her pregnancy with eight babies, via IVF. After giving birth, it seemed like the world couldn't get enough of this family.

Now, 13 years later, the kids are grown up and celebrating their first day of 8th grade.

As you may recall, Nadya earned her now infamous nickname "Octomom" when she gave birth to octuplets back in 2009.

Her pregnancy and the birth of her children were nothing short of an anomaly — people could not get enough of her story!

At the time, Nadya's octuplets were only the second complete set born in the United States.

Nadya's children had also surpassed the survival rate set by another set of octuplets, who were born in 1998.

Fans soon learned that in addition to her octuplets, the media sensation was also a mom to six other children — all of who were conceived through IVF.

Critics went after Nadya when it was revealed that she was unemployed and living on government assistance to support her 14 children.

The "octomom" and her children continued to be the source of a lot of negative media attention for years before Nadya decided it was best to step out of the spotlight.

Now, the mom of 14 is sharing a rare picture of her octuplets all together on their first day of 8th grade!

"First day of 8th grade. Be proud of yourselves kids for being kind, respectful, and helpful to all your fellow peers, teachers and staff," she began.

"You are exceptional role models to the 6th and 7th graders. I love you."

She ended the post by explaining that her older six children did not want their photo shared online. "(Side note to critics: their older siblings did not want me to post a picture on their first day. I respect their choice, so should you)."

I can't believe how grown up they are!
