News about the new James Bond actor has been ramping up as of late, now that we're well past Daniel Craig's last film as Bond, No Time to Die.

Fans of the series have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of the new Bond, and with a recent update knocking out some of the biggest predictions, there's now new info about who could be taking the helm.

Recent news says the next James Bond will move in a different direction.

Specifically, a younger direction.

According to Ross King, "The latest rumor — and in some ways part of this is very much true — which is, basically, the Bond producers are looking for a younger Bond. Someone probably in their 30s."

This knocks a lot of people's main guesses out of the running.

Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, all dashed. Who does that leave, then?

New predictions are coming out about who it could be, with the frontrunner being quite a famous name who's already known for carrying a series.

That's right, it's Tom Holland.

Obviously known for his role as Peter Parker in the latest series of Spider-Man movies, it seems he's the top guess for who the new James Bond might be.

Behind him is Regé-Jean Page of Bridgerton fame, then Tom Hardy still, despite him being 44.

Holland could be a good fit seeing as he's a huge Bond fan.

He even spoke about a James Bond movie idea he pitched on Late Night with Seth Meyers earlier this year, with the concept being that no one would no it was a Bond film until the end, with the story focusing on the spy's origins.

"[...] but from a marketing point of view, that’s a nightmare," he digressed.

We still won't be getting confirmation for quite some time though.

Probably within the next year, with the next Bond film not expected to hit theaters until at least 2025.

No matter who the next Bond ends up being, we ought to trust the producers enough to pick whoever they think will be best for the role!
