For the first time, King Charles III has addressed the nation in an emotional TV message Friday following the death of his mother, HM Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

In his address, the King addressed a few questions fans of the Royal family have been asking over the past 24 hours and expained what his son William and his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton's new titles will be.

King Charles III will officially be made King of the United Kingdom on Saturday, September 10th.

As per the BBC, the ceremony will happen at St James's Palace in London, in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council.

Since his firstborn son William is now the heir to the throne, his title has changed.

"As my Heir, William now assumes the Scottish titles which have meant so much to me. He succeeds me as Duke of Cornwall and takes on the responsibilities for the Duchy of Cornwall which I have undertaken for more than five decades," the King said, as per T&C.

"Today, I am proud to create him Prince of Wales, Tywysog Cymru, the country whose title I have been so greatly privileged to bear during so much of my life and duty."

"With Catherine beside him, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring the marginal to the centre ground where vital help can be given."

This name change means Kate Middleton is the first woman to take the Princess of Wales title since the late Princess Diana.

This is major news and undoubtedly a historic moment for fans of the Royal family.
