All eyes were on the Royal family as they bid a final farewell to the longest-reigning monarch in British history, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday, September 19.

The world was devastated at the news of her death earlier this month on September 8th and now, after 11 days of mourning, HM has taken her final trip to Windsor Castle as millions of fans watch from around the world.

While millions watch the festivities from their homes, many wondered where Prince Louis was.

Prior to this morning, it was unclear if any of the Queen's great-grandchildren would be attending the emotional service.

However, it was lovely seeing the Prince and Princess of Wales' two eldest children — Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, in attendance.

Of course, viewers at home couldn't help but notice that William and Kate's youngest son, Prince Louis, 4, was nowhere to be found.

It's worth noting that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's children — Archie, 3, and Lilibet Diana, 15 months — were also not in attendance.

As fans will recall, Prince Louis made quite the impression back in June at the Queen's Jubilee celebration.

While marking his great-grandmother's historic 70-year reign, Louis went viral for his goofy behavior that was all too familiar for parents of youngsters.

This past weekend, fans of the Royal heard an emotional story about how Louis was coping with the death of his great-grandmother.

According to Australia’s Governor-General David Hurley, he heard directly from Louis' mom Kate that their youngest is struggling.

During a reception at Buckingham Palace on Saturday, David recalled to The Daily Mail that Kate told him that "the younger one is now asking questions like 'Do you think we can still play these games when we go to Balmoral [Castle, where the Queen passed away] and things like that, because she’s not going to be there?'"

The Governor-General added that Kate explained her eldest son Prince George is “sort of now realizing how important his great-grandmother was and what is going on.”

As for why Prince Louis wasn't in attendance at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, it's been reported by "People" magazine that the young Prince was most likely not in attendance due to the long and emotional nature of the day.

I think any parents of a child that young completely understand leaving Louis at home so they're able to focus on being present for their eldest two children.

Of course, this very logical reasoning did not stop people from joking on Twitter about Prince Louis' location and cause for not being there.

I'm just glad that the family was able to mourn their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother alongside the support of millions of people around the world.
