You know what they say, "One person's trash is another person's treasure." And it's no more evident than on garbage pick-up day. The amount of good-quality stuff that gets left on the curb can really be a throve of gems. So let's take a look at some awesome items that people picked up absolutely free only because others wanted to get rid of them.

This Vintage Liquor Cabinet

"Literally this piece is so fricken cool. There are so many compartments I didn’t even know opened. I found it on OfferUp as a curb alert and was so happy it was still there when I got there around 11 pm last night. Had to put this big boy in my car all by myself which was a struggle since I’m small but totally worth it! It’s in such good shape, just needs a good cleaning and some refinishing. Two pieces are slightly warped so I’m gonna try to figure out how to warp them back straight. Otherwise so in love with it."

Amazing, right?

This Gamer's Dream

"Found these in the alleyway behind my house in a big shopping bag. Let them sit in my shed for a year as I didn't think they were worth anything. Ended up cleaning it all up and selling for £300."

Nice!

This Exercise Bike

"Decided to go on a drive to look for stuff after finding this subreddit. On the first street."

Oh, my goodness, haha. I guess whoever left this on the curb has given up on their exercise regimen. Too bad for them. However, this person can pick up where they left off.

This Clothing Haul

Check this out. Somebody actually found a couple of jackets, shirts, hats, pants, and a bag on the curb. What? Those look like they're in excellent condition, no? Perhaps they were too busy or lazy to donate them, huh?

This Lucky Find

reddit | hailey199666

"Tonight’s Devil strip find! Who throws away never used appliances and unopened liquor?"

Um, I don't know. But something tells me that the person who found it is one lucky camper. Now they can cook and drink at the same time. Good thing it wasn't someone underage who found it all!

This Curb Find Of The Century

reddit | sfitz11

"Curb find of the century? KitchenAid professional 5 plus stand mixer with attachments, and it works!"

OMG! I so want that. Just the other day, I was telling my husband that if I had one of these, I could make butter from scratch.

These Speakers

reddit | AnalogFeelGood

"2x Sansui SP-2500X (1979-1982) in decent condition. They sound good."

Speaking of my husband (I love saying that, by the way), as a musician, I think he would really appreciate this curbside find. The fact that it works is the icing on the cake.

This Awesome TV

"I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it comes from the curb. Fully functional Sony 4k TV. Thank you curb gods."

Whoa! Would you look at that? Truth be told, my dad always scores stuff like that. In fact, I have a small TV in my bedroom that he found on the curb for us.

This 1922 Vintage Singer Sewing Machine

reddit | dearwikipedia

Whoa! That is the prettiest Singer sewing machine I have ever seen. As it turns out, it's from the 1920s. How impressive is that? The person who found it doesn't know if it works, but I think it's still fabulous as a display piece, no?

This Technics Power Stereo

reddit | 06impreza

"All power up but I haven’t fully tested everything yet. CD player works and receiver works. Tape deck likely needs new belts, tuner and equalizer not tested yet. Came with all RCA cables, speaker wiring and remote. The Technics cabinet was actually free from another curb in the past and came with speakers as well."

It's such a great tower. My dad bought one for me like 20 years ago, and it still works until this day.

This Le Creuset

reddit | PortugueseCheese

"Not exactly the curb, but this was left in my building's disposal room."

I've heard so many good things about the Le Creuset Dutch ovens. I know they're pretty coveted pieces foodies look for all over. So this was such a lucky day for this person.

This Old Trunk

"Found this old trunk in my neighborhood on garbage day. Excited to have a cool new coffee table/extra storage!"

Check this out. How lovely does that look in this person's living room? I get now why they were so excited to score that. It's absolutely beautiful as a coffee table.

This Cat Bed

"Cutest curb find. IKEA doll bed for my cat. I think he approves."

Aww, I second that. I think the kitty is the luckiest one, haha. It sure does look like a cozy little bed indeed, huh? I love that.

"The curb Gods deliver again."

I'll say! Here I was thinking of getting a Cricut machine, and this person finds one in perfect working condition out on the curb. How lucky is that? I'm so jealous of them now.

This Gorgeous Dresser

reddit | empressche

"A Curbfind dresser...with a new bit of paint!"

"My boyfriend found this dresser at the side of the road. It was brown, of course, with a marble top. It’s not even real wood for the most part. The marble top had a large chipped piece gone from it, and the drawer glides were persnickety. So I made a new tip with 1x4 boards, stained in walnut, painted out the curvaceous drawer fronts in a style I think of as renaissance, and gilded the whole piece in gold wax. It turned out well. It now resides in one of the suites in the Old Courthouse Inn in Powell River."

Oh, wow! I know some people may scoff at the new paint job but I think this gradient color is absolutely gorgeous. I'm in love with this piece.

This Interesting Find

money from different countries somebody found in the trash
reddit | Reddit | u/arbivark

"I run down an old dirt road. Trash is dumped there. One day I stopped and found a box of money. All the envelopes are from different countries all over the world. Mostly dating from the 1700s-1900s. The oldest is a coin from 1621. I’ve got some from countries that no longer exist. I’m still researching."

I wonder if any of these are worth something. What do you think?

This Free Motorcycle

reddit | Reddit | u/Pm_me_ur_dealbreaker

"My neighbor caddy-corner from me had put it outside about 5 minutes before I saw it out there. I knocked on his door, never really spoke to him before today, he said he lost his job because of covid so he was moving back to Texas in a few days so he's getting rid of everything he doesn't need. He rolled it over to my house for me and brought me over the title and wrote me a bill of sale like I had purchased it from him. Nice guy. Me and my boyfriend are going to fix it up and start trading up until we get a Harley. I never get this lucky yall."

Oh, wow!

This Treasure Trove

reddit | Reddit | u/Thefreshestproduce

"I had put these in r/Thriftstorehauls a bit ago but didn't realize this subreddit existed. My boss was getting rid of some things from his mother's estate and brought a bunch of stuff in with an up-for-grabs sign in our conference room. It was mostly junk, except for these original Dalí etchings."

OMG, what? These could be worth a fortune, no? Such a lucky find indeed.

Are you as impressed by these curbside finds as I am?

Wow! Where in the heck do these people live, haha? I've never seen gems like these at the curb in my neighborhood. I guess I need to venture out and see what I can find in some posh-er ones. What do you think of that idea? It's worth a try, no?
