With Season 4 long in the rear-view mirror, everyone is now excited about the Season 5 debut on November 13. Yet this photo from last year is well worth revisiting if purely for, ahem, aesthetic reasons.

In the stunning portrait shot outdoors, Hauser fixes the lens with a hauntingly piercing gaze as the sunlight illuminates his face and naked shoulders. His countenance is stirring and expressive, exuding a rugged masculinity that the arid backdrop only serves to emphasize.

Understandably, the image sent a wave of enthusiasm running rampant among female fans. Whether swooning over the shirtless hunk or trying to concentrate just enough to pen a roaring character analysis for Rip Wheeler, the ladies had nothing but love for Hauser in the comments.

"This pic is the gift that keeps on giving," exclaimed one person, while another said: "This man [is] too fine to be real." A third user dubbed it "the picture that broke the internet," with a fourth Instagrammer quipping: "My ovaries just fell out."

Hauser shared a cropped version of the shot on his own Instagram page and got pretty much the same reaction. Fans came at him with even raunchier remarks, with one woman offering to wrap him up in saran, per Whiskey Riff.

It's easy to see why the internet is screaming for more shirtless pics of Cole Hauser. The Panama star recently thrilled his admirers with a photo from the Yellowstone movie set while hyping up Season 5 on Instagram. Snapped out on the ranch, he rode his horse while rocking a dark shirt that was casually unbuttoned at the top. His cowboy get-up was complete with a hat and lasso, as well as aviator shades for an extra cool touch.

"No rest for the wicked!" he wrote in the caption, saying he was filming through the weekend.

It seems that, until very recently, Hauser was completely oblivious to the effect Rip Wheeler has on female fans. Going through life virtually unaware that he's playing a total heartthrob on TV, reality hit after a strange encounter at a grocery store, of all places.

The actor told the story in an interview with Fox News Digital, sharing that he only realized people were infatuated with Rip after "this old lady grabbed my a** in Whole Foods."

Hauser was thoroughly amused by the whole thing. After the initial shock, which was also brought about by the lady being "my mother's age," his reaction was: "OK, fair play."

He even told his mom, filmmaker Cass Warren of Warner Bros. studio, all about it and got some sage advice: "Get used to it, son."
