Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara as the top of the list as far as hot celebrity couples go, and they're celebrating the 7th year of marriage. The actor always speaks fondly of his wife anytime he has to, including how his eyes light up when recalling their first date.
Fans surmise he had a chance with the Colombian actress because he's "hot," while others believe it was written in the stars. Both could be true, but we're happy knowing they're happy.
Last year Manganiello made headlines when he revealed details of their first date on KFC Radio. The radio station shared the anecdote on TikTok, where the Magic Mike actor said he took the first opportunity to meet his wife after hearing she broke up with her partner of five years, Nick Loeb.
Manganiello rightly believed several suitors would knock on Vergara's door once they heard the news. He couldn't afford to compete with more eligible bachelors, so he made time in his busy schedule to take her on a date in New Orleans.
Within six months of dating, Manganiello popped the question, and they tied the knot a year later, in November 2015. Seven years later, they've still got eyes for each other only. The actor shared pictures from their wedding day on his Instagram feed with a simple caption declaring his love.
She returned the energy with her own short caption saying she loves her husband too. Vergara's posts included a video from the wedding after-party showing her in her element - dancing!
Manganiello has some acting projects lined up, including Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas (a voice role) and the comedy series, Mythic Quest as himself. He attended the season premiere with his wife as they both decked out in black outfits.
Vergara wore a classic sleeveless dress with a double-layered gold link-chain necklace, and a black shirt in a navy suit.
Although Manganiello said in 2015 that he'd never make a movie with Vergara, they starred in the baseball drama Bottom of the 9th, which they co-produced. His criterion for casting her was "simple": she had to sleep with the producer (him)!
He told Entertainment Tonight,
"I cast my wife, so we get to act together for the first time. She just had to sleep with the producer."
The movie earned more than average ratings across the board with praises for their performance and chemistry (as if there was any doubt!).
