Meeting new people can be a very exciting part of our lives. Whether it's friends or potential love interests, the process of meeting someone and getting to know them is the start of a brand new adventure. However, it's not always easy to get to know someone well when there are so many things to discover and learn about them. That's why it's always important to pick and choose what questions you ask so you can get to know them well.

1. What is your absolute favorite age to be growing up?

This will leave the conversation open for them to explain why and what about that age was so memorable and special.

2. What was your favorite holiday to celebrate as a child?

Not only do you learn about the holidays they celebrate and value, but you also learn about their traditions.

3. Did you ever go on family vacations as a kid? Where was your favorite place to go?

This can tell you more about their taste for adventure and if they have ever been somewhere you have also been.

4. Did you grow up with any pets?

Those who had family pets often grow up with a sense of responsibility and empathy.

5. What is your favorite memory?

This can tell you about a person in dozens of ways. It showcases their values, who is important to them, and whether or not they have a good memory!

A shared love of music is always great.

7. What is your current favorite series on Netflix?

There may be a chance you both enjoy the same series, and you can discuss it even more.

8. What's your favorite movie of all time?

This is always a great question to ask because everyone has a favorite movie and it says a lot about who they are, too.

9. Do you prefer books or podcasts more?

Many people love podcasts today with the invention of streaming platforms. But, many people also enjoy a really good book. What they value more says a lot about who they are.

The way a person takes care of themselves and relaxes after a long day says a lot about who they are.

This may seem personal, but sometimes that is what you need to go for when you really want to know someone deep down, past the surface.

This question can be interpreted in many different ways—such as whether someone talks about their personality, their looks, or even their stuff.

Getting the news and reading the news is important to being an informed person. However, where you get your news says a lot about what they relate to.
