Andrew Garfield gave Sally Field her flowers on stage on Sunday Evening as he moved to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to her. He had the nicest, most uplifting words to describe this talented actress, and we agree.

The Amazing Spiderman co-stars got into a mini-reunion on stage for the SAG Awards, and Garfield described his on-screen aunt as "a north star."
“You never drink the Kool-Aid of your brilliance, You never get high on your own supply. But tonight we’re going to try to make you.”
He also used the opportunity to appreciate her amazing awards history and her track record of being a hard worker, performer, and progressive social rights activist.
"She's won a lot of s–t. She's won so much s–t," he said of the actress's two Oscars, two Golden Globes and three Emmys, in addition to her slew of nominations."
Field began her career in Hollywood when she got out of school. Her first gig was playing the titular character of the sitcom Gidget in 1965. She recalled the experience as "sitting in front of a camera on a freezing cold beach in Malibu."
The actress revealed in her acceptance speech that she didn't have an agent when she played Gidget when at the young age of 17.
"All of a sudden, I was the star of a television series and I became a member of the Screen Actors Guild."
She continued in her speech, "I remember so clearly putting that paper card in my wallet quietly thrilled to call myself an actor."
The star discovered performing arts at just 12 years old and referred to filmmaking as magic.
She continued in her acceptance speech and described the stage as her home.
“On stage, it was the one place I could be freely me,” she revealed while stating that she was once camera shy, but everything surprisingly disappeared as soon as she stepped on the stage.
Field stated that she wasn't seeking the applause, nor was she hiding behind the characters she so well interprets, but she fought for those precious moments when she felt “totally, utterly and dangerously alive.”

Field is giving herself a huge pat on the back, and rightfully so, as she expressed her fulfillment in her career path.
“I’ve been Mrs. Doubtfire’s employer, Forrest Gump’s mother…and Spiderman’s aunt,” she continued in her acceptance speech. “There is not a day I don’t feel quietly thrilled to call myself an actor.”
The veteran has appeared in major blockbuster projects, such as Steel Magnolias in 1989 and Forrest Gump in 1994. She also recently appeared with Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlin, and Rita Moreno, her real-life best friends, in the football comedy 80 for Brady.
The actress has received nine SAG Award nominations in her career so far. She won for actress in a drama series in 2009 for Brothers & Sisters.
She has also been nominated for three Oscar Awards and has won twice for best lead actress, in 1979 for her role in Norma Rae and in 1984 for her role in Places in the Heart.
She was nominated as a supporting actress in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln in 2013.
Field has bagged nine Emmy nominations and three wins: one for Brothers & Sisters, one for appearing as a guest actress on ER, and a lead actress role in Sybil.
The activist was once arrested with her 80 for Brady co-star, Jane Fonda, for protesting on lack of governmental action around climate change.
The actress also brought awareness to issues like nuclear proliferation in countries with Lily Tomlin, another one of her Brady for 80 co-stars.
The SAG Awards recognize actors for their hard work and also help them make history. Michelle Yeoh became the first Asian woman to win a leading film acting award at the event.
She took home the plaque for the best performance by a female actor in a leading role for her performance in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, and expressed her excitement in her acceptance speech.
Brendan Fraser won big as he took home the Best Actor award for his role in The Whale.
The cast of White Lotus won the coveted Best drama ensemble award.
