By 10:50, local sheriffs warned community members not to approach the area and informed Twitter users that deputies are on the scene and that Saugus High School has been locked down.

As ABC7 reported, the nearby Rosedell and Highland elementary schools are also on lockdown, as are all campuses in the William S. Hart Union High School District.

Although the fire department had initially reported that at least seven people had been shot, that number has since changed to three victims.
