Meghan Markle And Hillary Clinton Had A Secret Meeting: Source

Hence all the press lately. She and Chelsea co-wrote The Book of Gutsy Women, a book that highlights women that mother and daughter find inspiring and motivating.

Among those chosen are Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mary Ritter Beard, Harriet Tubman, Edith Windsor, and Malala Yousafzai.

And now, clearly, Meghan Markle.

For Meghan, it's been a long while.

When she was 11, she wrote a letter to the then First Lady regarding a dishwasher soap commercial she thought was sexist. She wanted Hillary's help getting it off the air.

"I'm a huge Meghan Markle fan," she said, sitting next to her daughter, Chelsea. "I do want to say that the way she’s been treated is inexplicable. If the explanation is that she’s biracial, then shame on everybody."

"I don’t know her, but as someone who respects her, I’m so grateful that she persists and is unbowed and is doing work she feels called to do, and isn’t willing to be bullied," Chelsea said.

While appearing on BBC Radio 5, she talked at length about how much she understands and admires Meghan.

Firstly, she "absolutely" believes Meghan's race (she is biracial) has everything to do with how she's been treated.

Because she married a royal, and I guess that means people are allowed to be mean? Hillary didn't like that at all.

"People don’t choose who they fall in love with, they fall in love! And she is an amazing young woman. She has an incredible life story."

"She has stood up for herself, she has made her own way in the world. And then she falls in love, and he falls in love with her, and everybody should be celebrating that."

"Because it is a true love story. You can just look at them and see that."

She's definitely right. Every picture where they're looking at each other proves her 100% correct.

"I feel, as a mother, I just want to my arms around her. Oh, my god, I want to hug her! I want to tell her to hang in there, [and] don't let the bad guys get you down."

"Keep going, do what you think is right. You know, it's not easy. And there are some techniques that can be learned along the way, some humor, some deflection, whatever."

After Beyoncé, of course. Let's not get too crazy, here.

Anyway, Hillary finished: "Which I'm sure that she will come to, but it is tough what she is going through, and I think she deserves a lot better."

Because she invited Hillary to Frogmore Cottage this week.

Cue my heart bursting.

As the Daily Mail reported, Meghan "secretly" invited Hillary Clinton to she and William's Windsor Home, aka Frogmore Cottage.

According to sources, both women had what was described as a "fangirl" hug and meeting.

As a former fangirl, I'll translate: they basically told each other how amazing they were, smiled a lot, and got pretty deep into their feelings.

Harry and six-month-old Archie also spent time with Meghan and Hillary. Hillary apparently got some snuggle time in with Archie.

She also told the royal couple about her newest grandson, Jasper.

"Both women have a lot of admiration for each other and it was a very sweet, warm meeting," the source said. "They are mutual fan girls!"
