Sorry John Legend — Snoop Dogg Decided To Make Himself The 'Sexiest Man Alive'

In case you missed it, this year's "Sexiest Man Alive" according to People is singer-songwriter, John Legend.

Naturally, not everybody is in agreement about this — including Snoop Dogg, who is insisting that he is actually the rightful "Sexiest Man Alive".

Every year People announces who the "Sexiest Man Alive" is, and every year there is protest over it.

No matter what, the man chosen is handsome by most standards. But it's impossible for everyone to agree on something so subjective.

There have been, in my humble opinion, some questionable names given the title of "Sexiest Man Alive"...

One name in particular springs to mind... (cough) Blake Shelton (cough).

But even in those cases, it's usually best to just sit back and let these guys soak up being called the sexiest man alive.

All that to say, this year, some people feel very strongly that John Legend is, in fact, not the "Sexiest Man Alive".

Wendy Williams, for instance, had some very direct and harsh opinions on this matter...

She said that while she thinks John is "cute", he is "not the 'Sexiest Man Alive.'"

"I think they're a cute couple," she said of John and his wife, Chrissy Teigen.

"Like, they're short and they're thin. I love them together, but not apart."

She suggested that alternatively, Jason Momoa should have won.

"I normally don't like facial hair, but in new life, I'm meeting a lot of new men. If I could think of one person it would be Jason Momoa," she said.

"When I think about a sexy man, I'm not thinking John Legend," Wendy went on.

"The first thing I think of is that I weigh so much more than him."

"If I'm not quite feeling right after leaving the club, I need a man to throw me over his shoulder and say, 'Come on girl!'"

"John is not that guy. But congratulations Jonathan," she concluded.

As John's wife, I'd assume that Chrissy Teigen is taking these objections to John being the "Sexiest Man Alive" personally.

But kudos to her for jumping to his defense against the haters!

Needless to say, there was an overload of resistance from fans on Twitter.

Some folks are demanding a #ReVote.

I'm guessing John's self-esteem has taken a serious hit if he's subjected himself to reading these reactions...

Some people don't even consider John to be a man, let alone "Sexiest Man Alive".

This one was pretty harsh.

Sending out thoughts and prayers to John rn.

Anyway, leave it to Snoop Dogg to swoop in and change the narrative.

Instead of criticizing John, Snoop decided to take matters into his own hands — making himself the "Sexiest Man Alive".

With the power of Photoshop, he created his own magazine cover — super-imposing his own head (with a marijuana cigarette hanging out of his mouth, of course) on to John's body.

It's hilarious!

He took things to the next level and changed the subheading text to something better suited for him.

"Snoop Dogg," it reads. "How a crip took your chick".

I am speechless.

He shared his homemade magazine cover to Instagram, captioning it, "Thank. You".

As far as I'm concerned, Snoop Dogg is the real "Sexiest Man Alive".

This should no longer be up for debate.

What do you think of People choosing John Legend to be this year's "Sexiest Man Alive"?

Should it have been Snoop Dogg instead? (The correct answer to this question is 'yes').
