The idea of a "wine mom" or a parent who enjoys a drink once the kids are in bed has become fairly mainstream. One mom is speaking out and hoping to normalize her own preferred method of relaxing — taking a hit from a joint.

This mom's viral post about using cannabis has sparked a lot of discussion online from parents who also regularly smoke pot.

In Canada and parts of the United States, legalizing cannabis has changed people's perceptions of this substance.

She also hopes to make smoking cannabis as normal as enjoying a glass of wine after putting the kids to bed.

"It’s okay to smoke instead of drink. I used to have a problem with drinking, and my behaviour that came along with that," she said.
