On yesterday's episode of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith admitted that in the past, Will has made some surprisingly "insensitive" jokes about Willow's menstruation that needed to be firmly addressed.
While his comments were probably meant to be all in good fun, Jada called them "insensitive."
ICYMI, T.I. claimed that he and his daughter visit a doctor every year to check if her hymen is still intact.
Naturally, people didn't take this news too kindly...
"So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor comes and talk, and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism," he continued. "He’s like, ‘You know, sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, 'Deyjah, they want you to sign this so we can share information."
"And so then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity.'"
"'Just check the hymen, please, and give me back my results expeditiously.'"
Yikes.
"I am incredibly apologetic to her," T.I. said on yesterday's Red Table Talk.
Jada was able to relate to T.I. and Tameka, to a certain extent, comparing their family's situation to her own.
It's probably more common than any of us realize.
"He don’t understand the level."
She said that sometimes Will doesn't even realize he has crossed a line.
But Jada made sure to speak on her behalf.
“Willow has gone at her dad several times for very insensitive comments," Jada said.
“Every day, it’s a work in progress,” she added.
