Sally Field, 73, Arrested While Protesting Climate Change Alongside Jane Fonda

If you've kept up with Jane Fonda's recent news, you'll know that the 81-year-old actress has been taking part in Fire Drill Fridays since October.

Fire Drill Fridays are an anti-climate change initiative where protests happen on Capitol Hill every Friday.

Jane was first arrested while taking part in these protests on October 11th of this year, and has been protested every subsequent Friday. Jane is often joined by another celebrity guest to raise awareness.

Ted Danson, Diane Lane, Piper Perabo, Robert Kennedy Jr., and 'Young Sheldon' Iain Armitage have all shared the stage with her.

This week, Fonda was joined by Forrest Gump and Steel Magnolias actress Sally Field, who was subsequently arrested. You can see the video of her arrest here.

Field will likely be charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, which is a misdemeanor.

"I come with my heart, and my voice. I am a mother, I am a grandmother," Sally said in a speech prior to her arrest. "The time is now."

"We can get out," she said. "We can do something, in the rain, whatever it takes."
