Some animals become internet famous because they have something unique about their features. Maybe they have giant eyes or fluffy ears or they're a unicorn puppy.
But some other animals seem like your average cutie until they do something so relateable that we all take notice.
Of course, I'm not saying that Chata isn't adorable all on his own (I mean look at him), but simply that his new internet fame has grown due to people's love of how he sleeps.
Chata is a munchkin cat born in April 2019 and his breed probably plays a role in why this sleeping position looks particularly cute when he does it.
Munchkins look like your average house cat except for their stubby, corgi-like legs.
He's got the flat, dead-to-the-world look that many of us feel by the end of the work week.
I know I'd have poked him once or twice to make sure he wasn't dead.
Though she also has short legs, she's older and doesn't seem to sleep the way Chata does.
