Christmas is a time of family togetherness. Pet lovers will no doubt give their kitties an extra treat or give their doggos a new chew toy. But for the many pets out there who need homes, Christmas can be a cold and lonely time of year.
Christmas is a time of family togetherness. Pet lovers will no doubt give their kitties an extra treat or give their doggos a new chew toy. But for the many pets out there who need homes, Christmas can be a cold and lonely time of year.
The dog rescue organization Dogs Trust Ireland has all kinds of dogs at its Rehoming Center in Dublin. While these pups might not have homes, staff decided to make their Christmas special by letting them choose any toy they wanted.
Think about how much a dog freaks out when you give it one toy. These mutts were offered a bevy of toys, all laid out on the ground in front of them.
Thanks to their help, the staff at Dogs Home Ireland were able to give each dog their choice of toy, along with some time alone in the toy room to make an informed decision.
Some dogs knew exactly what they wanted while this bunch of puppies ran around, well, like a bunch of puppies. Either way, it's hard not to feel a sense of infectious joy.
Squeaky toys, chew toys, dangly toys and everything in between were on offer for these homeless dogs. It's the kind of selection that would make any dog jealous.
Max took a good look at a bunch of toys in this row before deciding on this stylish orange number. Indecision was a common theme, as each dog was presented with a dizzying selection of awesome toys.
While most of the dogs did take at least a few moments to make their pic, Tiny knew what they wanted from the start: this green chew toy, which they happily squeaked on.
Hopefully these dogs find homes soon, but until then, it's good to know that the tireless staff at Dogs Home Ireland are willing to go the extra mile to make them feel special.
