Over the last year, Adele has undergone a major weight loss transformation. While many fans are applauding her hard work, some are actually beginning to worry that she is looking "too thin."
However, she had a seemingly unbothered, cool exterior whenever she was asked by interviewers about the ongoing criticism over her body image.
And trolls took to social media to call her horrible names, including Fiona from Shrek.
“I don’t [expletive] care,” she told her audience during her Perth show. “It was Givenchy Couture. They can say what they want.”
“I worked out. Obviously I’m a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight," she added.
Initially, she was quite modest about it. She posted this photo from Drake's birthday party and although it doesn't put her body on display, her face definitely looked slimmer than usual.
Understandably, this isn't the Adele that people are used to seeing. It has come as a shock to most of us.
Which is pretty amazing, and we're not at all jealous.
She can't seem to win.
First, she was criticized for being overweight, and now she's getting an earful for being too thin.
But unfortunately, she can't catch a break.
There is absolutely no cause for concern.
This is her post-divorce revenge body and she looks fabulous.
I'm going to assume that she made this change for herself and not for the approval or validation of complete strangers. I have a hunch!
Here's a thought, maybe we all need to worry a lot less about the way other people look?
She's going to slay her next public appearance and everyone who criticized her will be eating their words.
While her weight shouldn't be of interest to any of us really, it adds insult to injury that she's facing backlash for being thin after facing years of incessant fat-shaming.
She's probably going to serve us an absolute banger instead, and I am ready for it.
But let's face it, she's been a legend since day one.
Now she's a legend who has faced the adversity of being body-shamed for being too big and too small.
If you don't hear from me for a little while, just assume I'll reappear eventually 30 lbs lighter.
What do you think of Adele's recent weight loss causing fans to be concerned that she is "too thin"?
