Rascal Flatts Announces That They're Splitting Up

Country music band Rascal Flatts has announced that after over twenty years of creating iconic hits like "What Hurts The Most," "Life Is A Highway," and "Bless The Broken Road" that the band is splitting up for good.

This news was announced via their social media as well as a farewell tour.

"When we started out 20 years ago, we could not imagine all of the people, places and gifts we would encounter. As we head out on the Rascal Flatts Farewell - Life is A Highway Tour, there is no sadness. Just new chapters, new journeys, and new beginnings. This year, and this tour, is all about YOU," they wrote.

They confirmed that this is a split and not a hiatus on CBS This Morning.

The band said, "We make music and that’s what we do. We may do it again someday collectively. We’re not gonna sign some pact that says we’re never gonna tour again or anything like that. We all still love each other. But we do make music, and we’ll probably make some music maybe individually."
