'Jeopardy' Champ James Holzhauer Writes Sweet Message To Alex Trebek For Final Jeopardy

Jeopardy is one of the most beloved game shows of all time, and host Alex Trebek has become an iconic figure and household name around the world. During the Jeopardy: Greatest Of All Time tournament which brought back three of the most successful contestants, this iconic status was cemented with a sweet and funny answer written in by one of the contestants.

Alex Trebek has been fighting pancreatic cancer for almost a year.

However, Trebek has insisted he will continue to stay on as host of Jeopardy "as long as my skills do not diminish."

This dedication to his job is obvious to the contestants he interacts with.

In November of last year, a contestant sacrificed their Final Jeopardy answer to send Alex a message of love.

Instead of the actual answer, he wrote "We love you Alex," which cause Alex to get choked up in his response of "I love you too."

James Holzhauer, who broke 'Jeopardy' records for being the highest-money earner in the show's history, sacrificed some money to send Alex another sweet message.

During Final Jeopardy, James wrote his own question down, "Who is the GHOST? (Greatest Host of Syndicated TV)" before jokingly writing "Pat Sajak" and crossing it out to write "Alex Trebek" underneath it.

"I wish you had risked more points!" Alex joked back.

What a touching (and funny) message that we're sure Alex appreciated! You can watch the exchange right here.
