Dwayne Johnson Responds To Gwyneth Paltrow's Genital Smelling Candle With A NSFW Joke

Since the release of Gwyneth Paltrow's genital-scented candle made serious waves on the Internet over the weekend, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson chimed in with a hilarious NSFW joke.

By now, there's probably a good chance you've heard of Gwyneth Paltrow's vagina-scented candle that swept the Internet over the weekend.

Now, there's a sentence I never thought I'd say ...

Within days of Gwyneth releasing her $75 candle called, "This Smells Like My Vagina", on Goop and Heretic, it sold out.

BTW, the candle doesn't actually smell like her vagina — I mean, there's no way to know that for sure, but its scent is described as a “funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent".

I find it rather peculiar that it is described as having a "funny" smell.

"Funny" and "unexpected" are two words I would ideally not want a lit candle in my apartment to smell like. But ok.

The candle contains notes of “geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed.”

This honestly sounds like it could smell pretty great. Probably nothing like Gwyneth's — or anybody's vagina.

But I'm still not so sure about the use of the word "funny" in the description. It's really throwing me off.

If you want to know for sure, you can always hop on the waitlist to purchase the candle when it is back in stock.

The story behind how the candle got its name is pretty straightforward.

She wasn't working in a lab determined to recreate her vagina's natural scent in the form of wax if that's what you were imagining (I know I was).

She was collaborating with perfumer, Douglas Little, on a new fragrance.

During a test-run of one of the scent samples, Gwyneth said: "Uhhh...this smells like a vagina."

And thus, the product officially had a name — one with extreme shock-value.

But you know what they say, all publicity is good publicity! So, it's really no surprise that the candle sold out so quickly.

While Twitter was blowing up with mixed responses, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson chimed in with a reaction of his own.

He took to Twitter to share a NSFW joke about Gwyneth's supposed genital-smelling candle.

It all began when comedian, Adam Ray, wrote on Instagram that The Yankee Candle Company should release a candle that smells like Dwayne Johnson's balls to compete with Gwyneth's candle.

To which, Dwayne responded something absolutely "priceless".

"Brother I tried to make those candles but I kept burning my balls," he commented. "So I moved on to shampoo."

He also included the hashtag, "#scentofsac".

I am speechless.

The queen of genital-scented candles herself spotted Dwayne's comment on Adam's post and responded.

Thankfully, Gwyneth is someone who loves to crack jokes on the Gram, and found his comment especially amusing.

"This is [expletive] priceless," she replied to Dwayne.

I have a sneaking suspicion that no one would want to buy Dwayne's sac-scented candle. Just a hunch.

But then again, I never imagined that a $75 vag-scented candle would sell out. So, who knows.
