Women Are Throwing 'Wedding Dress Parties' For A Reason To Wear Their Dresses Again

Remember that Friends episode where Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe hung out in their apartment eating snacks and drinking beer while wearing wedding dresses? Well, it turns out that's actually a thing now.

Ladies are now throwing "wedding dress parties" just so they can have a girls' night in and celebrate their friendship. And they're posting fun pictures of themselves on social media.

Honestly, I think this is a brilliant idea.

After all, you've shelled out a pretty penny for that wedding dress that you're only going to wear once, so why not wear it again?

This gives women a perfect opportunity to take that wedding gown out of storage and wear it proudly once again.

Hopefully, it still looks like how you remember it.

It seems so wasteful to wear these dresses for just a few hours.

More people are deciding to upcycle or donate their dresses, but this seems like a fun idea, too!

On the other hand, it can just be a fun activity you can do with friends you might not have necessarily been close to when you actually got married.

It's basically an excuse to recreate your bridal party.

Some women even wear their mom's vintage dresses in lieu of their own.

Check out this woman rocking her mom's "Size 0" vintage wedding dress. Amazing!

Best of all, these parties are pretty simple to put together.

All you need is booze, pizza, and your wedding dress. Did I mention that low-key parties are my favorite? These get-togethers definitely require way less planning than your wedding did.

If you're going out to one of these parties, your dress might raise a few eyebrows.

It's not every day you see a woman casually wearing a wedding dress on a Saturday night, after all. You might have to explain things to your neighbors.

According to women who have been to these parties, they are a lot of fun.

Honestly, your wedding day is supposed to be the best day of your life, but it is stressful! This sounds like way more fun to me.

You can go all-out with the theme, too.

Decorate your home with cheesy wedding decor from the dollar store. It's like the DIY wedding you always dreamed of.

For me, it would be just a cool excuse to wear my wedding dress again.

Speaking of wedding dresses, I just bought mine and I can't wait to wear it.

Now, you don't have to only include married friends.

On the contrary, this could give your single gals an opportunity to wear a wedding dress for fun. Why should they miss out?

Looks like some girls are making the "wedding dress party" a great opportunity to just throw an epic party and have a total blast with their besties.

Right on!

Hey, if the girls from "Friends" can do it, why not us? Right?

I'm really digging this trend and perhaps after my wedding, I might throw one of these parties as well.

What do you think of this idea?

Is this something you would do with your girlfriends? Or do you think it's silly? I think this should totally take off!
