Petition To Bring Johnny Depp Back To 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' Gets Over 78,000 Signatures

It seems that we all have some apologizing to do to Mr. Depp, and this is only the beginning.

We're all going to have to go see this new Pirates Of The Carribbean movie, no matter how bad it looks from the trailers.

Years ago, Amber Heard, ex-wife of Johnny Depp accused the actor of abusing her.

She said that he smashed his phone against her face, and that Depp pleaded for her to not say a word.

He reportedly even offered her money.

During their divorce, Heard sued Depp for everything that he had done to her.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," she wrote in a statement.

She even filed a restraining order.

In an effort to fight back, Depp then requested $100,000 in court sanctions from Heard.

Depp's legal team felt that Heard was "parading in front of the media in a desperate attempt to extend her 15 minutes of fame."

For years, the two have been battling it out in court.

There have been some wins, and some losses, but for fans on the outside, most of it has been confusing.

But recently, leaked audio clips reveal something new.

She was also reportedly abusing him.

So while he may have hit her, she admits to hitting him as well in the clip.

But Heard's original accusation cost Johnny Depp one of his most important roles: Captain Jack Sparrow.

But there's a chance we can all make up for our mistakes.

There is a petition that's started to get Johnny Depp back where he belongs, in the role he was born to play.

Fans insist that they need to get that petition to its goal of 150,000 signatures.

Or maybe even more. But some people are asking: "should we do more?"

At the end of the day, it's up to Disney and Hollywood executives to decide what they want to do when it comes to Depp's career.

After all, tearing Heard down the same way people tore Depp down won't accomplish much.

Especially since they can both be victims in the situation.

And now, fans are demanding that Heard is removed from "Aquaman 2."

It already has almost 200,000 signatures.

It's literally growing by the second.

But at the end of the day, despite personal opinions, fans are trying to remember something important.

There are two sides to every story, and at the end of the day, only Depp and Heard know what really happened.

Heard’s lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, said it best:

“It’s a myth to say, as Mr. Depp apparently is implying, that if Ms. Heard slapped him, then she can’t also be a victim. That is just not true.”
