'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Reboot In The Works

We live in a world of unwanted sequels, reboots, and revivals (some of which are also unwanted).

Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be the next franchise that is getting the reboot treatment, whether fans think it is unnecessary or not.

The original film, which premiered in 1974, followed two siblings and their friends who fall victim to Leatherface and his family.

The movie, which had three sequels to follow, became a cult classic.

And now, the movie is returning to scare a whole new generation of people.

So if you thought you were done with it, think again.

Apparently, no one can escape Leatherface.

Ryan and Andy Tohill, who directed 'The Dig' will be directing the rebooted version of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".

It is going to be written by Chris Thomas Devlin, and Fede Alvarez and Rodolfo Sayagues will be producing.

"The Tohill’s vision is exactly what the fans want," Alvarez said.

"It’s violent, exciting and so depraved that it will stay with you forever."

Forever is a stretch...
