And if you're wondering why Eminem was performing at the 2020 Oscars, you're not alone.
It's like it was 2003 all over again!
It was during an ~homage~ to music and movies belonging together like a gorgeous pb&j sandwich.
Or like a gorgeous turkey sammich amirite Julia Butters?!
And as you'll recall, Eminem won Best Original Song at the Oscars back in 2003 for "Lose Yourself," featured on the soundtrack for the film, "8 Mile."
When Eminem surprised the Oscars audience with a performance of "Lose Yourself" it was SHOCKING, to say the least.
Many celebs were taken aback and it was absolutely HILARIOUS.
A moment of silence for Martin Scorsese's face.
Idina Menzel's face in particular is making its way around Twitter.

I mean we can all agree it was a good performance, right?!
Needless to say, Idina's performance made a lot more sense for the crowd, as her song "Into The Unknown" was nominated for Best Original Song at the award show.
It featured artists from around the world and it was so beautiful!
You can tell she wanted to sprinkle some of her Broadway magic onto Eminem's performance.
