The Oscars this year were full of monumental moments in The Academy's history from Parasite being the first non-English language film to win Best Picture to Brad Pitt winning his first ever acting Oscar.
One of the presenters made history of his own, as well.
Zack and Shia starred together in The Peanut Butter Falcon, where a friendship quickly blossomed between the two. Shia brought Zack as his date to the Oscars as well.
"Shia was offered to present an Oscar. He said he would do it if he can share that moment with his beloved co-star Zach Gottsagen who we all adore," she tweeted.
What an awesome moment in history for both Zack and Shia to be a part of! Zack credits Shia with having changed his life, and I'm sure this will be part of his reasoning for that.
"Shia was so just good with his costar Zack Gottsagen. He didn't jump in too quickly to help him. He trusted Zack, waited for him to gather himself, and let do it on his own," one fan tweeted.
They did an excellent job making history!
When Zack got to read the infamous line "And the Oscar goes to..." his excitement was palpable, and Shia took a moment to smile at his friend's enthusiasm.
Some viewers interpreted this as Shia laughing at his co-presenter.
Citing their long friendship and many fond things they've said about each other, fans quickly dispelled any rumors that the moment was cruel in nature.
