5+ Of The Best Reactions From Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' Performance

Last night at the Oscars, Eminem performed his early 2000s classic, "Lose Yourself", and basically everybody watching in the audience (and at home) lost their minds.

Back in 2003, Eminem won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards for “Lose Yourself.”

Unfortunately, he slept through his win, missing his chance to perform it that year.

But last night, 18 years later, Eminem was regiven the one shot, one opportunity.

And he did not let it slip this time!

It was an awesome performance that none of us saw coming.

As expected, everyone who was there to witness the greatness reacted accordingly (for the most part).

It was amazing to see how even after 18 years, "Lose Yourself" still slaps the same way —possibly even more than it did in 2003.

1. Gal Gadot.

Gal Gadot was living her best life despite the fact that the people around her appeared to be far more reserved.

You go, girl!

2. Kelly Marie Tran.

Shout out to Kelly Marie Tran for knowing every single word to "Lose Yourself" and proudly rapping along.

Truly impressive, if you ask me!

3. Billie Eilish and her Brother, Finneas.

Billie looked fairly confused and unimpressed by the performance.

Does she even know who Eminem is?

She didn't know who Van Halen was, so maybe it's a fair question.

Fans hilariously reacted to Billie's confused expression watching Eminem perform.

He is definitely before her time.

But nonetheless, he's way too iconic to look this confused about.

4. Idina Menzel.

Idina looks partly confused partly intrigued.

Like, she wasn't expecting to watch Eminem perform but she was surprisingly into it.

5. Martin Scorsese.

Martin looked like he was just about ready to go to sleep.

How someone could possibly sleep through an aggressive rap performance is beyond me. But hey, I respect being able to take a nap whenever and wherever.

6. Anthony Ramos and Jasmine Cephas Jones.

People

Anthony and Jasmine bopped their heads in unison (it honestly looked choreographed) to the song, rapping all the words.

7. Zazie Beetz.

Zazie Beetz was dancing like no one was watching — having the time of her life.

After all, it's not every day you get to watch Eminem perform one of his first hits, live!

8. Brie Larson.

People

Tbh, this is the face I made when I saw Eminem get on stage. Just genuine, unadulterated happiness.

There is no greater feeling than early 2000s nostalgia!

At the end of his performance, the room gave Eminem a much-deserved standing ovation.

Moral of the story, if you win an Oscar and you accidentally sleep through it, they'll invite you back 18 years later.

Duly noted!

Eminem reacted to his own performance by sharing this tweet:

He referenced his own lyrics and thanked the Academy for inviting him back 18 years later.
