20 Bizarre Pics That Had Us Feeling Like Everything Was Nowhere Near OK

It's thankfully hard to remember the last time I felt like this, but there are some places we can end up where we simply don't feel safe.

Whether it's the general look of a place, or the specific sounds or smells that come with it, some places can either feel haunted or like we're going to catch some bizarre illness just by being there. And sometimes there's nothing necessarily wrong with the place itself, but the sketchy vibe that the people we're sharing it with are giving off.

Whatever the reason, nothing would make us happier than getting out of there as soon as possible and running until we can no longer see it behind us.

Fortunately, if any of the pics we're about to see have a similar effects, it's much easier just to scroll past them. It involves much fewer sprained ankles, too.

I'm not sure what exactly happened here, but at least these two seem to be making the best of it.

If I'm right that all those appliances are covered in plastic wrap, then it seems the plot has thickened and these guys flooded their kitchen on purpose.

Just how hot was it that day?

Whether this is fair or unfair, some people get really creeped out by furries. However, the furries have good reason to be creeped out by this person.

Reddit | abaganoush

This individual goes by Carpet Sample, which is an admittedly clever name for their patchy hodgepodge of a fursuit.

But while the outfit is arguably pretty creepy on its own, this person reportedly has the behavior to match, as they've been known to stalk people after furry conventions.

For this reason, they have apparently been banned for life from AnthroCon, one of the world's largest conventions for this interest.

I can only imagine what it would feel like to come across these two figures on a foggy morning.

These are apparently glass statues and we can only assume that they were left in the woods like this to make some sort of artistic statement.

I can only imagine some worried parents screaming in horror at the sight of their kids' dangerous display.

On one hand, it's oddly nice to see a group of friends being so inclusive about their ill-advised, risky stunts.

On the other hand, it's hard to feel like everyone should have a chance to do something when you also feel like nobody should do it.

As much as we might feel the most uncomfortable about this goat person at first, the walls are the truly nausea-inducing part.

Reddit | Cursed_Plague

Yeah, I'd advise looking at them just long enough to understand what I'm talking about and then averting your eyes.

And no, it's not a Gif. Just an illusion.

At first, I thought someone just jammed a bunch of cucumber slices in bags to make a human shape, but that's apparently not nearly messed-up enough.

Reddit | Gentle_Maniac

Nope, if you look closely, you can see that there's actually a person under all of this.

Let's just say there's enough discomfort to go around.

This creation, dubbed Turtle Man, is a disturbing piece of art made to look like a human-turtle hybrid.

Etsy | babycreatures

According to the artist, Laira Maganuco, it's supposed to represent the fragility of people who act like a turtle to protect themselves from painful lives.

If, for some reason, you'd like to own this, you might be happy to learn that it's actually available. You'd likely be less happy, however, to learn that it's going for the equivalent of about $3,910.

I should warn you that you're about to see a very large leech in the middle of feeding.

Reddit | suicidalcitrus

As for how it got to be so big, the answer is that the person its currently sucking away at is its owner, who intentionally drew blood for it to consume.

I have no idea what this outfit is supposed to be for, but you certainly wouldn't catch me volunteering to wear it.

Even if this woman is wearing a stunt suit, which I'm not sure she is, this ceremony or whatever better last about 10 seconds because that's probably the maximum amount of time anyone can feel safe wearing fire so close to their heads.

Even if nothing's actually happening, the ways our eyes deal with reflections can make us think there's a crisis afoot.

Reddit | aflabingo

For instance, we're fortunate enough to not be witnessing an alien invasion in this photo.

Instead, the window has reflected the light from these lampposts enough times to make it seem like a fleet of UFOs.

And it turns out water can be just as tricky as glass in that respect.

Reddit | TeamHobo33

For instance, it would be pretty hard not to think we're witnessing the nightmare of someone drinking a severed hand if we stepped in here out of context.

Instead, the water in this bottle is just reflecting the image of a perfectly non-severed hand. Phew.

It seems like it's getting harder and harder to name an animal that somebody isn't currently keeping as a pet.

Reddit | krellinis

I suppose I'll grant that I have no idea how easy it is to have a pet lemur, nor am I entirely convinced that this one isn't stuffed.

But if this one is real and actually sitting down to dinner, this woman must be some kind of whisperer. I think they're usually a lot more...excitable.

It takes a second to wrap our minds around this, but I think we've got someone squatting and using their also squatting friend to take a selfie.

Reddit | CamTheChest

I gotta say, this woman has a very good friend because that doesn't seem like an even remotely comfortable position.

Now I guess we just need to know why they're doing this in the first place.

I've got to say, the uploader is being oddly casual about the "random dude" in their class.

Reddit | adamniebieski

I would normally be pretty worried about someone showing up to school with a vintage Russian gas mask on, but I guess this person is just as worried about getting sick?

In that case, a filter might help, champ.

While I'm sure this is delicious, I think it would also be a little hard to get past the presentation here.

Reddit | Bullock15

I guess I've never had something that looks like raw steak and tastes like chocolate, but I think it would kind of mess with my head.

While there was a good reason we were taught to share as children, it's possible to take that lesson a little too far.

Reddit | PinkLlamaOfPower

No matter how much I love and trust someone, I can't imagine it would be possible to feel comfortable with turning a bathroom trip into a team sport.

If there's one thing I have to say for this technique, it ensures that nobody misses out on getting some cake.

Reddit | Schadufffcat

Unfortunately, it works a lot worse as a fashion accessory than it does as food. And I don't think the walls are particularly hungry for it either.

I've seen a lot of people go dangerously overboard with how they decorate their cars, but they're usually not this metal about it.

Reddit | raccooneater47

And sure, that might not help much if one of these skulls flies off and hits my windshield, but at least I'll respect them more than the car that flings a Minion at me.

If you try to recreate this yourself, there's a very good chance you won't be able to get it quite right.

Reddit

And that's because it not only requires quite a bit of dexterity, but also an entire extra finger.

I suppose you can use it as an elaborate way to flip people off if you want, though.

Many of the photos on this list might make us uncomfortable, but this one might actually make us jealous.

Reddit | crocsonfeet

Somehow, this woman has managed to peel the egg's shell off all at once without losing even a tiny piece of it.

No digging through yolk for her.
