Justin Bieber Tears Up While Expressing His Desire To 'Protect' Billie Eilish

Justin Bieber teared up in a recent interview, explaining why he feels protective over Billie Eilish — not wanting fame to get to her the way it did him.

Justin Bieber has been in the limelight since he was just 14 years old.

Before Usher discovered his talent and helped him sign his first record deal with Island Def Jam Records, he was just a kid singing covers on YouTube, living a relatively normal life.

Since then, it's no secret that Justin has had his struggles with constantly being in the public eye.

Back in September 2019, he opened up on Instagram about how being famous lead him to use drugs.

"You see I have a lot of money, clothes cars, accolades, achievements, awards and I was still unfulfilled."

"Have u noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcome of their life? There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child who's brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren't developed yet."

"No rationality, defiant, rebellioius, things all of us have to go through."

"But when you add the pressure of stardom it does something to you that is quite unexplainable. You see I didn't grow up in a stable home, my parents were 18 separated with no money still young and rebellious as well."

"My whole world was flipped on its head."

"I went from a 13 year old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world with millions saying how much they loved me and how great I was."

"Everyone did everything for me so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility."

"So by this point I was 18 with no skills in the real world, millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted," he continued.

"This is a very scary concept for anyone. By 20 I made every bad decision you could have thought of".

"And went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged, hated person in the world!"

"You notice a lot of touring bands and people end up having a phase of drug abuse," he said.

"And I believe its due to not being able to manage the huge ups and downs that come with being an entertainer."

"I started doing heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry."

"I became distant to everyone who loved me, and I was hiding behind, a shell of a person that I had become."

"Let her do her thing and if she ever needs me, I’m gonna be here for her."

"But yeah, just protecting the moment because people take for granted encounters," he said beginning to tear up.

"Yeah, so, yeah, I just want to protect her," he went on. "I don’t want her to lose it."

"I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody."

Justin commented on Billie's post, "love you!" and Hailey commented a heart emoji.

I'm sure Billie really appreciates having one of the biggest stars of all time in her corner!

Now, 25 years old and married, Justin feels that he has some insight that could help prevent younger artists from going down a destructive path.

In a recent interview with Apple music's Zane Lowe, he explained how he wants to "protect" Billie Eilish.

"If she ever needs me I’m just a call away."

In response to seeing Justin's interview, Billie took to Instagram to promote his new album, Changes, sharing a clip from his interview and photos that prove she has been a fan of Justin's for a long time.
