Vanessa Bryant Reveals Kobe Gifted Her Props From 'The Notebook'
The Celebration of Life for Kobe and Giana was held on Monday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Vanessa Bryant gave a beautiful tribute to her husband and daughter.
During her speech, Vanessa shared with the audience that Kobe had gifted her the ACTUAL notebook from "The Notebook" as well as one of the dresses Allie wore in the film.
"When I asked him why he chose the blue dress, he said it was because it was the scene when Allie comes back to Noah. We had hoped to grow old together like the movie,” Vanessa explained.
Vanessa had previously posted the dress on Instagram back in 2013. At the time of her original post, Vanessa had only just reunited with Kobe, ending a separation and divorce proceedings filed in 2011.
This fact makes the gift all the more sentimental.
“We really had an amazing love story," Vanessa continued.
